Ocularist i have never experienced once in my lifetime an album of this nature that at times can have me close to tears in its use of samples and melodies, staplez in particular continues to shock and impress me due to its constant frantic nature, jumping in sample use from bogdan raczynski to blown out gabber kicks. another thing is its similarity to the late works of toecutter, in this case perhaps a bit more fast-paced and obscure, but regardless can never be matched.

absolute beauty of an album..

Favorite track: Staplez.

DJ Blenders An album that feels more emotional than I thought a genre like Mashcore could ever be. Very well made overall, you can feel the energy and emotions put into this from start to finish.

...Even if the third song on the album is titled I Want To Lick Detective Fenneko's Feet Favorite track: Just Lay Down And Forget It.

about

In this genre-bridging mashcore epic, MTS AIRMASS completely switches styles yet again to make another tired piece of art that nobody asked for. The extremely hyper and bipolar moods ruthlessly unleashed through the shamelessly plundered samples cover the state of the breakcore community, the state of the mind, and an unbearable feeling of loss and fear of the future. Watch AIRMASS call out to the one or two people listening for help in his ultimate mashcore expression. Remember: fuck copyright, and fuck the rules.

But on a serious note, this album was made through by far the most depressing point in my life and deals with some serious fears and sadness that I don't want to get too into right now. That sample on track 6? That's a real recording from my life. While a lot of mashcore is made for the purpose of raves and is ultimately fun, I can't help but hear a bit of sadness in the sheer amount of passion required to make such complex and nostalgic breakcore. My goal here was to make that element of sadness and desperation so much more obvious, hopefully transforming the idea of mashcore from party music to a serious expression of art, putting immense amount of thought into each sample, each motif, each element of percussion, everything. This album took me over a year to make and I hope you can hear the effort. Each of these samples mean something to me, each of the pictures in the art on the cover and on the blu-ray mean something to me. Each of the titles are very intentionally and mean to give off certain emotions which are attached to their respective tracks. I present to you, though it may not sound it at first, an extremely emotional and intentional piece of art, and I hope that can be easily translated through what I've created out of others' works. Thank you so much for your attention, it means a lot to me.
